Suraj, General Manager, Pepenero
Suraj is a 23 year veteran of the Food & Beverage industry in Singapore. Starting off in the Hospitality sector, he rose to Managerial positions in St Julien, il Lido, Burlamacco, Aura & Osteria Art. He is now the General Manager of Pepenero.
He loves food prepared with heart, home rooted ambience and service beyond excellence.

Diego Bertei, Head Chef, Pepenero
Born in Garfagnana, Lucca, Chef Diego Bertei has travelled extensively and been exposed to many cultures.
Since childhood, he has been inspired by his mother’s cooking.
At 15, he was working in a family resaurant in Garfagnana before moving to Manchester, England, for a 2 year stint at Restaurant Bibis.
Chef Diego has had the opportunity to learn from many renowned Italian chefs from Amsterdam, Holland and Australia, serving aristocrats and celebrities.
In Singapore, he has worked at Etna and at Da Luca, where he further crafted his culinary skills.
Chef Gabriele welcomes him as Head Chef of Pepenero and wishes him many good years here with us.
